The police close illegal car meets with 48 stalls

On Friday evening, the police had received a hint that it was drawing up to an illegal street race in Norre-Alslev on Falster. Therefore, an extra watchful eye was kept on the traffic.

On Friday evening, the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police managed to stop an illegal street race in Norre-Alslev on Falster, because it really got going.

This is stated by the police circle in the police report .

In the afternoon and evening hours, the circle's officers kept an extra close eye on the traffic in and around Norre-Alslev. And it bore fruit. At least for the treasury.

There were a total of 48 cases. Among other things, because illegal left turns were made, choir trains that stopped too much on the roads, drivers without seat belts and speeds that resulted in collisions.

In addition, a number of motorists were noted for not having a driver's license, driving under the influence, without the statutory liability insurance and for incorrect lighting.

– So it never became a definite street race, the police write in the police report.

It's one thing to sing too loudly. Another thing is to do it on the wrong tires. The government is now so tired of seeing this behavior from motorists that the country's minister for infrastructure, Andreas Carlsson, is tightening the screws on traffic.

That means longer periods when winter tires are the only legal thing on Swedish roads, and then bigger stands. Both parts also affect Danish drivers.

In Norway, people are already well fed up with motorists driving around on the wrong tyres. And that made a Danish motorist feel bad when the police revoked his right of way. Read more about it here .
