Angry union now blocks Tesla's charging stations

The conflict between Tesla and the Swedish trade union IF Metall is not over. On the contrary, it has entered a new phase, where the union is now blocking new charging stations.

There are divided opinions about who is more right in the conflict between Tesla and the Swedish trade union IF Metall.

However, the conflict that broke out in September last year is far from over yet. On the contrary, it has entered a new phase.

This is written by Dagens Arbete .

Several trade unions are striking in sympathy with IF Metall. Two of them are Seko (Service- og Kommunikationsforbundet) and Elektrikerforbundet.

Work on setting up new charging stations for Tesla has been discontinued here since March. So there will be no more of the so-called Superchargers in Sweden, at least not for the time being.

Janne Halvarsson, leader of the local association Seko Mellansverige, tells Dagens Arbete that he 'can't see any way out of the conflict'.

In the Swedish city of Ljungby, Tesla has recently set up 20 Superchargers. But because no electrician will work for them, the charging stations don't work. The cables are laid down under the charging stands, but there is no current in them.

And according to the unions, there will be no electricity in Tesla's new charging stations as long as the conflict, which began at IF Metall, continues.
