Jarl's brand new Fisker has lost at least DKK 200,000 in value

Jarl Knudsen paid DKK 600,000 six months ago for a Fisker Ocean. Today, many people believe that the car is worthless, yet the self-employed electrician does not complain about the loss.

Jarl Knudsen is one of the 300 Danes who cruise around in a Fisker Ocean. He paid DKK 600,000 for the car, and that just six months ago.

Money that he, like the other Danish Fisker owners, must count on having lost, now that Fisker Inc. looks like a car brand on the brink of bankruptcy.

Still, the self-employed electrician is neither the one whining about the loss nor the purchase of the car. He tells Nordjuyske that.

He even pre-ordered a copy of the car. This meant that he had never tested the car, or for that matter seen a Fisker Ocean in real life, because he threw money at it.

However, Jarl and the other Fisker Ocean owners have one thing in common with all other car owners. They are technically insolvent.

Which means that in the vast majority of cases the cars are never worth what they were bought for. Something that particularly applies to Danish drivers, who often pay very high tolls.

At least not when they are put to use out on the roads. In other words, the money is lost from the start. How much money is involved depends on how attractive the individual car is as a used model.

And in the case of Fisker owners, it looks bleak. There are so many new cars at Fisker that the brand now offers astronomical discounts just to empty out the stocks.

However, customers are warned that they should not expect any warranty on the cars. Fisker himself warns about this on his own website. Also on the Danish part.

At FDM, you could already tell in February how an increasing number of motorists approach because they find out that their cars are worth much less than what they bought them for.

According to FDM, it is especially motorists who have bought a car at the end of 2022, i.e. shortly before prices began to fall sharply, who must be aware of the technical insolvency.

We find an example of a man who is disappointed with a car sale in Haderslev. However, the disappointment is not related to debt. Read more about it here .
