Elon Musk initially rejected all talk of self-driving cars, or the so-called robot taxis, but now they are coming anyway. Maybe.
Much has been said about Tesla in the car brand's 21-year history. Some of the talk has come from within and out in the press.
Among other things, because of the CEO Elon Musk, who for years has promised cars that are not on the street yet.
As recently as just 9 days ago – specifically on April 5 – the Tesla director wrote that the news agency Reuters was once again lying when they wrote that Tesla was on the way with self-driving taxis.
Just five hours later, however, Elon Musk changed his mind and wrote that the self-driving taxis are indeed on the way, exactly as Reuters claims.

The cars will, writes Musk on his own social media "X", be revealed to the outside world on August 8 this year. In fairness, Elon Musk may be referring to another part of the Reuters article.
Namely the one that Tesla has buried what will be the brand's cheapest model to date. All because of increased competition for precisely cheap electric cars.
And even though Elon Musk's ceilings seem to be falling to the ground, his post about the 'lognen' from Reuters sent Tesla's stock up 3 percent. However, it was not enough to pick up the 5 percent that the media story caused the stock to fall by on Friday last week.
If you look at Tesla's value this year alone, it doesn't look good either. The stock behind Tesla Inc. has overall fallen by a third over the course of the first quarter of 2024.
Conversely, Tesla doesn't really have anything to complain about, at least not at home. Because even though one of the car brands has lost first place on the sales lists, it is still the Model Y that sells best of all new cars in Denmark.
Tesla's price drop is also peanuts compared to the crisis Fisker Inc. stands in. Since the IPO in November 2020, the brand has lost 99 percent of its value.Read more about it here .
