Fiat promises to stick with the petrol car, says the boss

Also in 2030 it should be possible to buy a petrol-powered city car, says Stellantis' director Carlos Tavares.

Fiat continues with the Panda. Also as it runs around now – namely with a petrol engine.

It must be possible to buy a cheap, petrol-powered city car, promises Stellantis director Carlos Tavares.

Carlos Tavares emphasized at the same time that the Panda's engine program is being refined and modernized so that the car will be able to meet all future emission requirements in Europe.

Fiat also has good reason to keep the Panda alive. The model helps make the brand the absolute best-seller in the entire Stellantis group.

However, the sales are far from carried by the Danish motorists. The Danish Fiat importer no longer sells the car at all, even though the little Panda is no further than a trip across the Danish-German border.

Fiat is far from the only brand that does not want to put the internal combustion engine in the grave just yet. Aston Martin has recently said that the brand's customers are not at all looking for electric cars at the pace that the hype surrounding the type of car leaves an impression.
