Short 149 km/h – then the police stopped by with the broom

This Tuesday evening again, a motorcyclist had to wave goodbye to his two-wheeled friend when he received a photo van on Vordingborgvej outside Stenstrup.

A 51-year-old man has neither a choir license nor a motorcycle anymore.

The South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police took both parts from him when the 51-year-old man chose to drone past a photo van at at least 149 km/h.

On the stretch where the photo van was – Vordingborgvej outside Stenstrup – the maximum permitted speed is 70 km/h.

This is stated by the police circle in the police report .

The man briefly passed the photo van at 18.48, and the police probably started looking for both him and the motorcycle only a short time later.

In any case, the 51-year-old man was sought out and forced to hand over both the money for the motorcycle and his choir card. And then he was otherwise made aware that he is now charged with insanity.

Just like more than 3,200 other Danes and/or foreigners who have given it far too much gas on the roads since the law against crazy speeding was introduced in March 2021.

The 51-year-old can now look forward to an unconditional prison sentence, a hefty fine and several years without the possibility of wearing any choir uniform that requires a choir card in Denmark.

But it could turn out to be even worse. In a new initiative in the area of choir cards, the EU is leaning on the Danish rules. This could mean that a traffic ban in one country becomes permanent in all 27 EU countries. Read more about it here .
