The police can take a driver's license from a certain type of driver

On Wednesday afternoon, an accordion group left chaos on the Funen motorway, now the police are considering including choir cards.

On Wednesday afternoon, the traffic on the Funen motorway around Odense was paralyzed by an accordion arrangement.

And it can now have serious consequences for some of the drivers who were involved in the accident. This is confirmed by the head of duty at the Funen Police, Henrik Strauss, to TV2 Fyn .

To the media, the warden says that it was a classic accident due to too much traffic.

And even if the damage is no greater than a sheet metal worker can put right again, this does not mean that all the drivers in the accident will keep their driver's license.

Henrik Strauss says that the police circle generally spends a lot of resources on drivers who do not keep their distance in traffic.

Therefore, Funen Police will also look into whether those involved in the accident on the motorway on Wednesday afternoon should even be allowed to sit behind the wheel any longer.

Tight junctions – and ones that are too tight – are not just a problem on the Funen motorway. In 2022, an investigation by the Council for Safe Traffic confirmed the picture the police paint of the traffic.

– It creates a lot of insecurity when a car is close to other vehicles. And it is also risky, said senior project manager Liv Knoblauch Kofoed-Jensen at the time.

The same survey showed that half of all road users on Danish roads think that traffic is too short.
