"Danish" car brand announces bankruptcy, FDM believes

Fisker's disclaimer appeared late last week. And that portends one thing, FDM believes. Namely a bankruptcy.

If the car brand Fisker Inc. goes bankrupt, there is not much the Danish Fisker Ocean owners can do.

In fact, a bankruptcy puts Danish drivers in a really bad position. Read more about it here.

And at FDM, lawyer Michael Ern Nielsen believes that Fisker's latest announcement should be taken as a bankruptcy notice.

On Friday last week, it emerged that Fisker is now disclaiming obligations in connection with warranty and complaint cases. 300 Fisker Oceans have been sold in Denmark. The brand itself refers to its 'current economic situation'.

"Due to the current economic situation for the manufacturer Fisker Group Inc. and Fisker's sales companies in Europe, there is a risk of limited support and limited service for the cars.

Buyers must expect a permanent loss of the ability to make claims for material defects and warranty claims.

When entering into an agreement for the purchase of a car after 3 April 2024, the buyer of a Fisker Ocean declares to be informed about this and that, on this basis, one still wishes to buy a Fisker Ocean in light of the described risk", writes the brand.

And it can only be an expression of a warning that Fisker is preparing for bankruptcy, believes FDM's lawyer.

– Before buying, you should therefore make a careful calculation of the car's price and characteristics.

– As well as the presumed lack of opportunity to advertise any errors and lack of opportunity for service in the future, as well as uncertainty about being able to buy spare parts and whether errors in the car's software can be corrected, Michael Ern Nielsen says to FDM .
