BMW cuts down sharply – drops M model with rabbit face

The days are numbered for BMW's 4 Series, which came on the market in 2014. The top model M4 is also disappearing. However, the replacement is already in place, the fan media believes.

Some indications are that BMW's model program must go through a serious diet. In March, it emerged that the Z4 and 8 series are on their way out.

And now it is rumored that BMW has the same thoughts about the entire 4 series. Yes, it also means goodbye to the M4. However, BMW did not want to comment on the rumours.

This is written by the fan media BMWBlog .

While nothing is yet official, it hardly comes as a surprise that the end is near for the three model ranges.

Sales are poor among all three. And therefore, writes the media, there are no plans to drag them over to a new platform.

However, this does not necessarily mean that BMW will drop the 4 Series name entirely. Instead, there is a high probability that it will make a comeback as part of the Neue Klasse models.

BMW lingo for an EV-only platform. We have already seen a little of the first cars to be produced using that technology. The Germans believe that at least one of them resembles the legendary E30 3 series. Read more about it here.

Back to the current M4. BMW Blog believes that it is such a big disappointment for the brand from Munich that a new version with a combustion engine is out of the question.

However, this does not mean that the name will disappear either tomorrow or next year. There are many indications that BMW is ready to keep the current 4 Series alive until at least 2028.
