There is still life in German Irmscher. However, their latest bid for an Opel Astra is still only a computer drawing.
Today, there is a long way between an entertaining Opel. The German Stellantis brand has even dissolved the performance division OPC.
Fortunately, there are still tuners who can see the potential in Opel models. For example, the latest Astra.
Irmscher calls their bid for an Opel Astra the Astra IRC. But right now it's 'just' a computer drawing. A proposal for how the car could look in reality, in other words.
The German tuner himself says that he envisions around 260 horsepower. But they don't say anything about which engine.
If we are to compare with something, it is 15 horsepower more than we find in the current Golf GTI. And 80 horsepower more than in the most potent version of the factory car Astra with 1.6-liter hybrid engine.

That is, if we ignore the real top model Astra GSe. That car has 225 horsepower from the same 1.6-liter hybrid gasoline engine. At home, the Astra GSe generally costs from DKK 430,000 as a station wagon or 'sports tourer', as the Germans say.
Back at Irmscher, the Astra IRC is still just a computer drawing. The same applies to the 20" Hydra Star alloy wheels all around. However, a small production cannot be ruled out if the interest is great enough.
