Ford subjects its emblems to 'torture'

A modern Ford must be able to withstand a bit of everything. And that's all on the car. Therefore, the engineers themselves subject the emblems to torture.

You know you have a Ford… when the badge can withstand being frozen.

It might sound a little too mysterious, but it's good enough. In any case, the car brand freezes new cars. But not because the emblem has been 'bathed' in water for 20 minutes. That is, continuously.

The car is then placed in a freezer and the temperature is turned down to -40 degrees. The Ford people do it to simulate a harsh winter.

After that, the engineers take the emblem off and put it back on.. and again, and… Finally, Ford bothers to rinse the emblem with water from a pressure washer. And if the emblem breaks from it, there are messes in the production.

Because then it's not made well enough. Not good enough at all. Ford generally enjoys torturing its own cars as they are sent out to dealers.

When the Mach-E was under development, the engineers shortened a trip of 480 kilometers on dirt roads, for example. All to see if the paint could hold up.

Speaking of water under high pressure, the Ford people stand 30 centimeters away from a new car and flush it with water under a pressure of 117 bars. Again to see if anything falls apart. This is how cars live a hard life, even before they are even out on the road.
