Tesla has built 6 million cars despite the crisis

It is only half a year since Tesla built car number 5,000,000. However, Tesla achieves the milestone on the threshold of a bad account.

Tesla has built car number 6,000,000.

It happens just six months after the brand was able to announce that it had sent 5 million cars onto the world's roads.

However, Tesla could have already built far more cars. But a slow quarter and pressure from competitors is sending Tesla on a course not seen worse since late 2022.

In fact, it is expected that Tesla will only show an increase of 8 percent in the quarter just ended. Analysts had expected much, much more. Read more about it here.

However, six million electric cars are still more than the competitors can boast. Even the newest ones from China haven't gotten that far yet.

BYD, which in its first many years of life copied everything from Mercedes' cars to BMW's logo, must include the hybrid cars in order to overtake Tesla in numbers.

Very fittingly, it seems – that is, from the very short clip Tesla itself has posted on the social media "X" – that car number 6 million is also a copy of the brand's best-selling car to date. Namely Model Y.

Tesla itself expects that both the Cybertruck and Model Y assembly lines will gain even more speed in the course of 2024. The facelifted Model 3 is also expected to increase sales.

However, this does not change the fact that Tesla's stock has lost a third of its value during the first quarter of 2024.
