Top Gear hosts make comeback after terrible accident

Top Gear remains silent. But two of the program's latest hosts do not. Now they are back on the BBC.

No more Top Gear will be made for the time being. And maybe never ever. But this does not mean that the hosts behind disappear from the screen.

After Freddie Flintoff's terrible accident back in December 2022, no new Top Gear program has been made or broadcast.

Flintoff has also not returned to the screen after he entered into a solid financial settlement with the BBC. Allegedly, the former professional cricketer has received DKK 77 million in compensation.

But now his Top Gear colleagues Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness are making a comeback on screen. This is written by The Sun.

The working title of the show is currently "Chris & Paddy: Roadtrip". And although it both looks and sounds like a car show, the BBC won't call it a direct successor or successor to Top Gear.

– The duo will travel around Europe by various means of transport, visiting people to find the secrets of wellness and happiness. No stunts, no car reviews, the newspaper quoted a BBC insider as saying.

The BBC has not officially wanted to say anything about the new programme. It is therefore not known where and when it may premiere.

But there is now a long way between the car programs on TV. Shortly after the British public service channel announced that Top Gear was being put on hold, another popular car program pulled the plug. Read more about it here .
