The motorcyclists are back on the roads. But for the first time in Denmark, the police can now also see them from the photo vans.
A sure harbinger of spring is in Denmark. Namely the motorcyclists who are slowly starting the MC season these days.
But unlike previous years, the motorcyclists can no longer fly under the police radar. Or more precisely past the police photo vans without fear of the consequences.
Last year, the police got new equipment in the photo vans, which can take pictures in both directions. In this way, the number plate on the back of the motorcycles can be used for a subsequent charge.
This meant that in 2023, 442 motorcyclists were charged with speeding with a speed camera, and that figure may be higher this year, when the equipment is fully phased in.

This is what the Council for Safe Traffic writes in a press release .
It didn't take long either, because the first MC was caught in the police trap. It happened precisely on Wednesday 22 March at 20.53 on the Faro bridge.
The speed limit on the bridge is 90 km/h. And there is a good reason for that, Police Commissioner Soren Skotte explained to TV2 Øst after the photo of the motorcyclist was taken.
– There is no groove on the bridge, and therefore the speed limit is set at 90 kilometers per hour on the spot.
However, the many charges that the police brought against the country's motorcyclists last year are not the only ones. There are also seizures in between.
In fact, the first of its kind came already in the same year that the law on insane asylums came into force. On Funen, for example, a young man was asked to hand over his brand new motorcycle to the police, who speeded him at at least 104 km/h in a 50-zone.
