FDM receives serious criticism: "A drastic step backwards"

FDM's new collaboration with the charging operator Clever is now facing fierce criticism from several sides. Even the interest organization denies that there is a problem at all.

FDM does not see the problem in the fact that it has now entered into a collaboration with the country's largest charging operator, Clever.

But many other actors in the Danish car industry can do that. At the industry association Drivkraft Danmark, the new collaboration is called a 'huge step backwards for the transparency of the charging market'.

And at the competing organization FDEL, which claims to represent Danish electric car owners, people also shake their heads.

The same is done by De Danske Bilimportorer elsewhere.

– And it is probably a bit paradoxical that we, as representatives of the car importers, are more on the consumers' side in this case than FDM is, says director Mads Rorvig to Motor magazine.

At FDM, however, director Stine Glavind rejects all the criticism. The director does not believe that the commercial cooperation between the parties will prevent FDM from being critical of, for example, Clever in the future.

However, the collaboration between FDM and Clever is not a free ride for the organization's members. In fact, it is quite expensive.

The membership alone costs DKK 800 per month, according to FDM . And that's without the actual price of charging at the Clever charging stand.

The Danish interest organization is far from being the only biks currently receiving fierce criticism. The Danish Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen does the same.

The competitors directly call the Dane's behavior in Saudi Arabia 'unsporting'. At Williams, Alex Albon has not hidden his criticism of the Dane either.

– I'm not a supporter of the fact that he was allowed to stay in front, especially Tsunoda, after he overtook him outside the track, said the Williams driver after the race.

And although Alex Albon's criticism may not reach anything other than the media, a Formula 1 team takes the criticism somewhat more seriously. In fact, the entire team intends to file an official complaint against the Dane.

K-Mag was called unsportsmanlike because he did everything to keep the rest of the field behind him, so that colleague Nico Hulkenberg could score Haas' first World Championship point at the weekend. Read more about it here .
