Jaguar has not yet solved a problem that causes the i-Pace electric car to catch fire. Now all cars from a period in 2018 must be recalled.
Jaguar must again issue a recall of the i-Pace electric car.
The British brand with the Indian owner has not yet overcome a problem that could lead to a fire in the model's battery pack.
Therefore, all cars that Jaguar had produced at the Austrian Magna Steyr factory between 6 June and 31 October 2018 must now have a trip to the workshop.
Carscoops writes that.

These cars are equipped with a battery pack from South Korean LG. The battery pack has been found to be affected by 'several technical problems'.
In a statement on top of the recall, Jaguar writes that 'there is a safety risk associated with these battery packs and that it extends beyond what was previously thought.'
According to Carscoop, the issue is that the LG batteries have a tendency to short out in the cells that the batteries are made of.
For the same reason, i-Pace owners are advised not to charge the cars more than 75 percent and to always park outside. At least until the problem is gone. And LG believes that this can only be done with completely new batteries in the affected cars.
This is far from the first time the i-Pace has given Jaguar serious headaches. Back in August, the car brand also had enough of problems, lawsuits and burning cars. Therefore, they removed the model from the program. Read more about it here .
