Authorities demand answers to critical fault in Danish Ford cars

The Danish Safety Agency has entered into the case of brake failure on Ford's Mustang Mach-E. Something that has apparently only affected Danish customers.

According to the interest organization FDM, the Danish Ford importer knows of 29 cases of brake failure on Danish-registered Ford Mustang Mach-E.

FDM has asked its European sister organizations. But here you haven't heard about Ford's brake problems. The problem thus seems to be isolated on the Danish roads.

Several Danish media – including BT – have described the problem, which the Ford owners themselves also report on on several social media.

But now the same BT can say that the Danish authorities have entered the case. Specifically, the Danish Safety Agency has asked the Danish Ford importer to answer what is going on.

In the media, Ford won't say much, but they won't let the Swedish Safety Agency get away with it that easily.

– In general, manufacturers are obliged to inform the authorities if they become aware that their products do not comply with the rules or are directly dangerous, says the agency in an email to the newspaper.

Ford in Denmark has not yet recalled any Mustang Mach-E models in Denmark due to the brake failure.

However, as a car brand, Ford is obliged to inform the authorities of faults. Even if those mistakes mean that the car brands do not comply with the rules.

Whether the problems Ford is having will lead to a recall is not yet known. But recalls are not uncommon in Denmark.

As recently as Sunday last week, Boosted could tell that 40,000 electric cars must be recalled for the second time in just 4 years. Some of them choirs around Denmark.Read more about it here .
