A dispute lasting several months between Audi and a number of the brand's employees has ended. It has all ended with Audi losing big.
Audi unjustifiably took company cars from a number of its employees who act as salespeople. This has been decided by several courts in Germany.
And now Audi has to pay the bills. The cars must not just be returned to the employees; these must also be financially compensated for the time without a company car.
Audi and the employees have reached an agreement on this in the car brand's internal working committee. The employees are reportedly very satisfied with the agreement.

The whole conflict, which has now ended, was based on the fact that, from the turn of the year, Audi took the position that the brand's salespeople did not need company cars.
Their work, says Audi, now takes place in such a digitized world that company cars have become abundant. But the employees would not accept that, as it was believed that it would be a significant deterioration of their overall wage package.
Nevertheless, Audi carried out the decision and withdrew the company cars. However, they should never have done that. Because immediately afterwards, several courts in Germany took up the case and overruled Audi's decision.
And now Audi is also finding itself in reverse on the wrong decision. It is not known whether the employed salespeople have received an apology for the unjustified deterioration of their salary packages.
