Mazda enters into a huge agreement with a Danish company

Danish-started Unity enters into a new collaboration with Japanese Mazda to supply software for all Mazda car models from 2025 onwards.

Danish-founded Unity today announces a new partnership with Mazda Motor Corporation to develop next-gen car experiences in the cabin.

The plan is for the Danish technology to be in all Mazda car models from 2025 onwards. The partnership is part of Mazda's 2030 Strategy, which particularly focuses on improving the user experience.

Mazda will particularly use Unity's technology to support the development of Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Graphic User Interface (GUI) solutions.

This strengthens the control system and makes it possible for drivers and passengers to interact with the train and the outside world.

– In the field of cockpit HMI, Mazda will continue to improve the interface between man and car.

– This is done in order to create a driving experience where safety and convenience are paramount, says Michihiro Imada, Mazda's managing director responsible for the development of integrated control systems.

With Mazda, Unity not only wants to support the development of HMI, but also to demonstrate how 3D technology in real time can support car manufacturers' long-term plans, it says.

– It is with great pleasure that we enter into a collaboration with Mazda, which will use Unity's advanced technology to create new innovations.

– Something that prioritizes the driver's needs and at the same time delivers the ultimate driving experience for all passengers.

– We look forward to supporting Mazda in their long-term plan to drive efficiency and digital transformation through improved safety features, user-friendly features, great entertainment and a more personalized driving experience," says Julie Shumaker, chief revenue officer, at Unity.
