The rare Tesla is already plummeting in value

The few owners who are are not allowed to sell the cars at all. At least not yet. Even so, several Cybertrucks have already been sold as used. And it hurts the economy.

A brand new car is a really bad investment. Motorists can safely count on the cars losing value from the first kilometre.

But some cars lose more than others. At the moment, a price circus on new models hurts used electric cars in particular.

In fact, things are so bad that a number of Tesla Cybertruck owners are already complaining that the used market has collapsed.

And at Give Me The VIN (GMTV) that interpretation is confirmed. A factory-new Tesla Cybertruck costs from 79,990 dollars, equivalent to around 550,000 Danish kroner.

But because Tesla cannot build the car at a pace that apparently covers demand, used prices have exploded. Or that means the bottom has already gone out of the market again.

From a situation where examples of the few cars sold for a staggering $290,000, Give Me The VIN claims that you can't get more than $189,000 for a Cybertruck.

Preserved, it is a good profit on a new car. But it all has to be seen in relation to the price drop. Because it all happened in just one week.

– We experienced a week's adaptation of the market because people were fighting to be among the first owners.

– We do not know when the market will find its price level, but we have adjusted all our bids for the Tesla Cybertruck to the current prices, says GMTV.

So far, GMTV says it has succeeded in persuading four Cybertruck owners to sell their cars. This even though the owners have actually signed that Tesla must give them a 'stall' if this happens. Read more about it here .
