Customers stay away from the city center when the police roll out with checks and stalls on Labor Day, according to the business community in Fredensborg.

But this is not why the city's business community is complaining loudly in the media. Instead, it is mad at the tactics of the police when the motorists are being chased.

On Thursday 1 March, Nordsjælland's Police rolled out the big raid on Helsingorsvej north of Fredensborg's big roundabout.

And it's not very cool. Neither for the motorists nor for the business life in the city, which already feels pressured by the fact that the municipality has closed a road that partially blocks the access of customers for several months at a time.
The media writes that several shop owners and employees have 'completely' lost the police, the Road Directorate and the city's politicians.
However, this is far from the first time that the police's methods have received massive criticism. Not even when it comes to the efforts that law enforcement targets the country's motorists.
Back in May last year, Trine Kromann was one of several motorists who believed that the police had set up definite traps after an otherwise legal car collision at Karup Airport.
The police's presence meant, among other things, 335 charges and 8 impounded cars. Something Trine Kromann later calls 'a witch hunt'.
