As the first country in the world, Denmark – or rather the Danish Volvo owners – benefit from a new type of traffic alarm.
Swedish-Chinese Volvo is the first in the world to launch a new type of traffic alarm in Denmark. It will already happen tomorrow, i.e. Friday 1 March.
Volvo calls the technology "Accident Ahead Alert". And it can best be described as a radio with digital messages about traffic developments.
This is what the Danish importer writes in a press release .
The plan is for traffic data from multiple sources to be integrated, including data from collaborators in the European "Data for Road Safety" network, which consists of national traffic management centers and other car manufacturers.

data previously obtained by Volvo has been updated every 10 minutes. But now the Swedish-Chinese brand believes that the amount of data is so sufficient that it can perform in real time.
"Accident Ahead Alert" is available in Denmark in all cars in the Volvo series 90, 60 and 40 from model year 2016 onwards. The feature will soon be available in several European markets.
