The Tesla Roadster goes from 0-96 km/h in less than 1 second, says Musk

It's almost seven years since Tesla lifted the lid on the next Roadster. Since then nothing has happened.

According to the controversial director, Elon Musk, the next Tesla Roadster is still a car that will become something.

And not only that. It gets crazy fast. This is what Elon Musk says on his own social media "X" – the former Twitter.

Here he writes about Tesla's new Roadster that 'there will never be another car like it'. At the same time, Musk casts doubt on whether you can call the Roadster a car at all.

The Tesla director adds that the design of the car has now been completed and that you will be able to see it in production at 'the end of this year'. So before 2025, when the first customers will have their cars delivered.

In the six years that have passed since Tesla first talked about a new Roadster, little has happened in terms of performance. At least if Elon Musk is right.

Back in 2017, Tesla said the new Roadster would be able to do 0-96 km/h (0-60 miles per hour, ed.) in 1.9 seconds. It would be able to cover a quarter mile in 8.8 seconds and reach a top speed of over 402 km/h.

Still, the same car will be able to cover up to 620 miles – just under 1,000 kilometers – on a single charge.
