Twins charged in case of crazy ride with horse-drawn carriage

The two identical sisters now risk being found guilty of covering up for each other in a case where two children were killed in a traffic accident in the United States.

A 35-year-old woman now risks being sentenced for covering up her twin sister in a case of insanity from the United States.

Back in September of last year, the woman confessed immediately that she was the one who had flagged a horse-drawn carriage, which was approaching some Amish people from Minnesota, from behind.

However, the subsequent investigation has revealed that the woman tried to take the blame for something her twin sister had done.

The Wall Street Journal writes that.

The woman who claimed to have the map up in the back of the horse-drawn carriage explained afterwards that she did not see the horse-drawn carriage. The accident ended up costing the lives of two children and a horse.

But the police quickly became suspicious of the explanation. Among other things, because the two women themselves revealed the confusion on a recording that an officer secretly made at the scene of the accident.

In addition, an extract from the call list on the other twin's phone showed where the call to the emergency center actually came from.

The twin, who was probably behind the wheel, has also carried out 'revealing' Google searches. Among other things, she searched for 'what happens in an accident with an Amish horse-drawn carriage that kills two people' and what can be done to 'lock a phone in police custody.'

If the two twins are convicted in the case, they – who have already served time for other crimes – will face several years behind bars.
