Danish motorists do not understand a simple sign – it costs DKK 1,500 in a stall

For an hour and a half, the police did nothing but issue tickets to motorists who came barking straight into their arms.

Many are not allowed to sing there. Still, it's too much of a temptation. Nordsjælland's Police could ascertain this when the circle took up position at a partially closed road at the junction between Jernbanegade and route 6 in Fredensborg.

Only residents of the area and work crews are permitted. But the drivers blow it to a large extent.

Many also know that this particular route is a detour to the Helsingor motorway. But that detour is illegal and has been since January 24 this year.

This is written by Sjællandske Nyheder .

But unless you have a legitimate errand in such a place, you as a driver have nothing to do on a closed road.

And 61 motorists had to admit that the other day. The detour cost them all a greeting in e-Boks of DKK 1,500.

According to a picture that Sjællandske Nyheder brings, the signage on the road is not to be mistaken either. "Residents' roundabout allowed" and "Workers' roundabout allowed" are there.

Still, there are many drivers who are willing to take the chance.

This is the case with drivers in roundabouts as well. And that even though the punishment for being caught in it actually hits even harder. Read how it is connected here .
