Hyundai drops popular model entirely in Denmark

In fact, it concerns two of the popular N models. And the picture is the same throughout Europe.

Motorists can no longer order a factory-new Hyundai i30 N. The picture is the same for the smaller i20 N.

And the cars won't come again. The South Korean brand has simply removed the cars from the European model range.

The assembly line has also already stopped. Instead, Hyundai is now betting that the N models, which are a counterpart to Volkswagen's GTI models, Mercedes-AMG, BMW M and Audi S/RS, will now run on electricity.

Hyundai confirms this to Carscoops .

– The production of the N models, which are going to Europe with a combustion engine, is halted. It happened at the beginning of February.

It is fully in line with our strategy to offer our customers a range of zero-emission cars by 2035 and be completely CO2-neutral by 2045, it says.

At home, the Hyundai i30 N is particularly known for its entertaining driving characteristics. Something that, among other things, gave it the title of 'GTI of the Year 2022' in connection with Denmark's largest car fair, the Auto Show.

However, Hyundai is far from being the only brand that will no longer be known by a number of their own cars with a combustion engine.

Last year, Audi was in a hurry to get rid of large parts of the petrol model range. But now the Germans must extend production to be able to keep up with demand. Read more about it here.
