A sad trend has spread among the long-fingered types throughout Denmark. In East Jutland, it particularly affects Tesla owners. Now the police call up.
At one point – more precisely during Wednesday this week – East Jutland's Police have again noted a sea of reports from car owners.
Many of them are Teslas that are now missing one or more side mirror glass. This is stated by the police circle in the dog report on Thursday morning.
44 reports about theft from passenger cars have been received by East Jutland Police in one day. 35 of them go directly to stolen side mirrors.
Especially in Tilst and Viby J there are problems. The same picture emerges in other parts of the country. But in East Jutland, the police have received more than 100 reports about thefts from passenger cars in two days.

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the many thefts. But the boring wave is also something you have heard about at the interest organization FDM.
– The glasses have, among other things, heating wire, dimming and radar systems that assist the driver with a blind spot alarm. These are expensive spare parts, Lone Otto, who is area manager in FDM's technical consultancy, told TV2 last week.
However, Tesla side mirrors are far from the only thing the thieves are after. Mercedes owners have also been exposed to the same thing.
Here, the importer states that the thefts look strange. But that it is nevertheless expensive parts to replace. The price per glass can easily fluctuate between 3,000 and 4,000 kroner.
The East Jutland Police would like to hear from citizens whose video surveillance may have captured one or more of the many thefts.
