Built 10,000 cars in 56 days – now they want to beat Tesla

Zeekr actually already exists in Denmark. But a dealer network is not yet in place. It will only happen in the course of 2024.

In 56 days, Zeekr, which has the same owner as Volvo, managed to build 10,000 copies of the sedan model 007.

And with the speed the brand is setting, the next ambition is unmistakable. The target is Tesla. Especially for the home market of China, where Tesla also builds cars, Zeekr has reportedly received well.

In just 40 days, the car brand, which was founded in 2021, had its order books filled with more than 51,000 007 orders.

This is what CarNews China writes.

And there are so many that Zeekr already believes that it can sell more than Tesla. At least in China. It's not quite like that at home.

At De Danske Bilimportorer's exhibition eCarExpo last year, Zeekr said that it would be ready with a dealer network in 2024. Nothing has just happened yet.

007 is also not included in the plans the Chinese are in the process of translating into Danish and a number of other European languages. The first models to get Danish asphalt under the wheels are a shooting brake called 001. A car on the same scale as Volkswagen's electric Passat, ID.4.

Next up is the Zeekr X, which is a direct clone of the small SUV, the Volvo EX30. A car which, according to several international tests, is already disappointing. Especially on the range.
