Tesla owners close Danish workshop – there is nothing to do

Recently, the police have warned about a new type of theft from cars. In East Jutland, it particularly bothers Tesla owners when thieves make off with either the glass or entire mirrors.

Both at the car importers and at FDM, people wonder to that extent about the car thieves' latest invention in Denmark.

It has long plagued the cars on the Copenhagen west sign, but now it has also come to East Jutland, where it affects Tesla owners.

In fact, so many Tesla owners in East Jutland lack mirror glass that a workshop in Skejby near Aarhus has been shut down by inquiries.

This is written by TV2 Østjylland .

The workshop can provide the sought-after mirror glass. But they must be brought home from Holland or Sweden. And that means waiting.

– We have been able to help three customers with spare parts from our warehouse, but for the rest we have to wait a week, because we have something to put in, says the workshop's customer manager Dorthe Nydam.

We have previously talked about the problem here at Boosted. The thieves don't run off with the whole car, but make do with the side mirrors instead. In some cases, just the glass.

And it's not just weird. It is outrageously expensive. Not just for Tesla owners though. Mercedes in Denmark tells FDM that mirror glass for new cars costs several thousand kroner.

You can also recognize the picture of the thefts at Nordsjælland's Police. The police circle says that they have seen the thefts for half a year.

However, mirror glass is far from the only thing that thieves are interested in. Both at home and abroad, thieves are happy with headlights from one specific car brand. Read more about it here .
