These cars are so unpopular that the Danes buy them

They just have to be cheap enough, then the Danes flock to the otherwise politically incorrect diesel cars.

Although studies have repeatedly shown that modern diesel cars are among the absolute smallest environmental hogs on the roads, the Danes stay away from them.

Or do they? Right now, diesel cars are so cheap that Danish drivers are once again looking for them.

In any case, due to steep price drops, motorists have started to get back into diesel cars. But it has required some time and, above all, great economic losses for the sellers.

– The price drops on used diesels have tempted some car buyers, and at the same time dealers are no longer taking in new diesel cars, says an analyst at Bilbasen to Avisen Danmark.

There are many reasons why diesel cars have become less popular among motorists in this country. One is that they are constantly becoming more expensive to own.

This is both through increasing periodic taxes and fuel prices. Prices that have already been set this year and will hit diesel owners again in 2025. Read more about it here .

In addition, there is great uncertainty associated with diesel cars due to the opportunities that all Danish municipalities have just been given to introduce zero emission zones. Zones that keep all fossil-fuel cars out of certain roads, streets and alleys.
