Car brand in crisis will not come to Denmark

Denmark is not part of Lancia's plans. Not even if life has just been breathed into the suffering brand on the basis of an Opel Corsa.

There is a new Lancia Ypsilon! Yes, such a thing actually exists now. There isn't much Lancia about it though. In fact, the car is as good as an Opel Corsa in a slightly different package.

However, the car is also available as the Peugeot 208, Citroën C4 and DS3. But even if you can get those cars here at home, the new soster does not exist in Denmark.

There is not much new to write about the platform. We already know Stellantis for that. Namely a battery of 51 KWh, an electric motor with 156 horsepower and a range of just over 400 kilometers.

Having said that, the new Ypsilon will probably be sold as a petrol car in selected markets. Just not in Denmark.

In fact, it does not have to happen with one or the other propellant. It has never been a success for Lancia to be here either.

In fact, the sales, which took place through Fiat dealers, officially stopped in the year 2000. This, although a few cars found their way to the country via parallel imports afterwards.

Very much speaking of parallel imports, Lancia's parent company Stellantis may well end up in something of a predicament between the Chinese and Russians.Read more about it here .
