The electric XPENG G9 recently participated in the Norwegian car organization NAF's annual winter range test, El Prix 2024. The XPENG G9 was the only car to charge 100 km in under five minutes and the only one to charge more than 20 kilometers in 1 minute.
This week saw the results from the Norwegian Automobile Association's (NAF) annual winter range test, El Prix. XPENG's flagship, the XPENG G9, achieved the fastest charging time of all 23 cars, charging the battery, which has a net capacity of 93.1 kWh, from 10% to 80% in just 19 minutes with a maximum capacity of 291 kW.
At the same time, the car reached fifth place in the range test, with an actual deviation of only 13.1% compared to its WLTP range. In comparison, the average degree of deviation for all cars was 21.8%, and only 8 out of 23 cars reached a degree of deviation below 20%.
El Prix takes place twice a year to test the range and charging speed of electric cars on the Norwegian market. All chore vehicles are tested on the same day and under the same conditions to compare their range and charging speed under typical Nordic conditions, both in summer and in winter.
This year's test included 23 choir clothes, including best-selling and Premium brands. According to the report, all cars were affected by road conditions and low temperatures to varying degrees.
Equipped with the leading 800V high voltage platform, XPENG G9 maintains higher safety standards and faster charging capacity than previous generation 400V platform. The 800V SiC platform also reduces the overall energy consumption of the chore train, making the range more efficient and accurate.
At NAF's latest test in June 2023, the XPENG G9 set the charging test record with a maximum capacity of 319 kW, while delivering the test's highest average charging power of 212 kW.
