Short 228 km/h Denmark – now his Lamborghini is going to auction

On Monday 4 March, the Lamborghini from perhaps the most talked about carousel case in Denmark will be auctioned. It happens in Vejle.

On Monday 4 March, BCA Auto Auktion has a very special car on the programme. It must be sold on behalf of the state.

But it was way back in 2021 that the North Jutland Police seized the car – a Lamborghini Huracan Spider – in connection with a case of crazy carousel in Hjorring.

The Norwegian owner of the car at the time said after the case was settled in the district court that "Denmark has stolen my car". Ever since, he has been fighting to get the car back.

This is stated by the North Jutland Police in a press release .

But now time is running out for him. The police are also ready to take the next step. Namely, to get the car sold so that the money can go directly into the treasury.

– The car's owner was convicted of speeding at the district court in Hjorring on 18 February 2022, as the court found it proven that the owner had a speed limit of 228 km/h on the Hirtshals motorway.

– In this connection, the court decided that the car should be confiscated, says special prosecutor Morten Sonderby from the prosecuting authority in North Jutland Police.

However, the Norman actually has the opportunity to get his hands on the car again. But that requires him to be the highest bidder when the car is to be sold.

It actually happened to a 22-year-old man recently when he managed to buy back his confiscated Volkswagen Passat at an auction on Funen. Read more about that case here .
