Media: Tesla man asked Elon Musk to go to substance abuse treatment

Several current and former Tesla executives feel that Elon Musk pressured them to take drugs.

Elon Musk has created an unfortunate culture at the top of Tesla. Here, there is a clear expectation that you take drugs with the CEO.

This is written by The Wall Street Journal based on interviews with several unnamed sources. Back in January, the newspaper also accused Elon Musk of taking everything from cocaine to mushrooms himself.

Musk himself has repeatedly denied that he takes drugs. Still, former member of Tesla's board Larry Ellison asked Musk in 2022 to take a nap on a private island in the US state of Hawaii.

Musk is also said to have been told by friends that he should confront Ellison or go to substance abuse treatment.

However, the accusations from the newspaper do not really seem to bite Musk. Already in January, he responded to the accusations leveled against him by the Wall Street Journal.

It happened on Musk's own social media "X" – the former Twitter – where he shot back at the newspaper, which between the lines was asked to interfere.

– Whatever I do, I have to keep going.
