Only one copy of the ultimate RS 6 will come to Denmark

660 copies of the Audi RS 6 GT will be built. But only one finds the way to Denmark. And the buyer has already signed up.

Whether it is the last RS 6 ever, only Audi knows. But we know how the car – which was shown as the concept GTO in 2020 – came to be.

Because that is what Audi would like to say.

The idea for the Audi RS 6 Avant GT stems from the apprentice project RS 6 GTO concept from 2020. 12 apprentices who, among other things, apprenticed as a bodywork and car mechanic, car painter and tool mechanic, worked on the project for 6 months with support from Audi Design.

Above all, they found inspiration in the racing car Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO from 1989. This is what the Danish Audi importer writes in a press release .

The Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO had – or should you say has – 720 horsepower from a mere 2.2-liter straight five with turbo. The Audi RS 6 Avant GT has a bit more. Both when it comes to the number of cylinders and horsepower.

The regular RS 6 Avant is satisfied with 600 horsepower and 800 Nm from a 4-liter V8 engine. The GT version has 630 horsepower and 850 Nm. Which actually does not make it more potent than the Performance edition.

However, Audi has made the GT 0.1 seconds faster from 0 to 100 km/h, so that discipline is now over in 3.3 seconds. Top speed is 305 km/h. Exactly like the Performance edition.
