Police are on the lookout after a new attack on Tesla

Police in Germany are without conclusive evidence after a new attack on Tesla. Here, seven cars were set on fire at once. It happened early Saturday morning.

A possible new attack targeting the car manufacturer Tesla in Germany remains a mystery to local authorities.

Early Saturday morning, around 3:30 a.m., a fire broke out at the well-known car brand at a Tesla showroom located in Ottersberg in the state of Lower Saxony.

Seven Tesla electric cars were engulfed in flames outside the showroom. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, but the exact cause of how the cars started burning is not known. At least not yet.

The local fire department was alerted at around 3:30 a.m. and responded to Tesla's address. Although the response was quick and the fire was extinguished, the fire caused extensive damage to the affected cars.

The cars were probably brand new. The economic losses caused by the fire are therefore not entirely insignificant. The cars were transported away from the area on Saturday afternoon.

Not the first time a fire has hit Tesla – is it intentional?

The police are still working to uncover the cause of the fire. They are investigating whether there may have been a technical fault in one or more of the cars, or whether the fire was set.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the incident. German media, including Bild Zeitung , are reporting that police are actively seeking witnesses who may have seen anything unusual leading up to the fire.

This is not the first time that Tesla has been hit by something like this. Not even in Germany. In addition to fires, activists have attempted to set fire to the brand's factory outside Berlin.

Coincidentally, that very Saturday, a series of demonstrations were taking place around the world. The demonstrations were all directed at Tesla and the brand's CEO, Elon Musk.

According to German media, however, the turnout for the demonstrations in Germany was extremely limited. For example, only about ten demonstrators participated in a demonstration against Tesla in Berlin.

In New York City, one of the demonstrations took a different turn. An individual, described as an influencer, mingled with the protesters and posed as a potential Tesla customer.

The incident was filmed and has since gained a lot of attention online. The situation escalated when the protesters agitated each other so much that the police had to intervene.
