Elon Musk activates "illegal" feature in all Teslas

From now on, all Teslas in the brand's stores will have the so-called Sentry Mode activated. This is done to keep an eye out for vandals, says Elon Musk.

Elon Musk is now activating the so-called Sentry Mode in all Tesla cars that the brand has in its showrooms and stores around the world.

This is happening in response to the increasing wave of vandalism that has hit Tesla's cars, after Elon Musk has tied himself closely to US President Trump.

By activating Sentry Mode, Tesla hopes that the police can catch all those people who might take out their anger on the cars.

Recently, an investor and supporter of Tesla suggested that the company should increase security by hiring 24-hour guards at all of the brand's showrooms and service centers in North America.

On his own social media, X, Elon Musk quickly responded, announcing that Tesla has "stepped up security" and activated Sentry Mode in all vehicles at their locations.

This is what Carscoops writes.

Although the director did not elaborate on what other security measures are in question.

The system behind Sentry Mode uses the exterior cameras found on all Tesla models to constantly record what is happening around the vehicle.

Here at home, several legal experts believe that Tesla's security settings are not only against the law, but that Sentry Mode itself is illegal in Denmark. Read more about it here .

While Tesla owners in Denmark have come out with cars painted with swastikas, things have gotten even worse in countries like Germany, France and the USA.

Most recently, one or more perpetrators smashed more than 80 Tesla models parked in the Canadian port city of Hamilton.

In the US, three people have been arrested for a series of attacks aimed directly at Tesla showrooms. Among them is a man who attempted to burn down a charging station but instead set himself on fire.
