Tesla is missing 10 billion – no one knows where they are

Tesla is reportedly missing close to 10 billion kroner. In any case, the car brand cannot explain where the money has gone.

$1.4 billion. Or just under 10 billion Danish kroner. That's money that Tesla can't find.

In any case, the car brand doesn't exactly know where the money went, writes the Financial Times newspaper.

According to the newspaper , Tesla's accounts for 2024 do not match the money the car brand has actually spent.

In the accounts, the Financial Times can see that Tesla has purchased property and equipment for $6.3 billion over the past year. But this does not match the balance sheet.

Tesla's values have only increased by $4.9 billion. So there is a specific $1.4 billion missing. What the explanation is is not stated anywhere. At least not in the car brand's accounts.

According to the newspaper, the fact that there is a mess in the accounts is nothing new at Tesla, which has had an imbalance between income and expenses for years when it comes to properties and equipment.

But then again – the Tesla Roadster – the new version – has already been missing for years. In June 2024, the car was 5 years late, and in October of the same year, the car brand postponed the model once again. Read more about it here .

What the new Roadster is actually capable of remains a matter of speculation, as Tesla has not released any actual figures on the car's capabilities. However, Elon Musk has claimed that the car, with a special SpaceX equipment package, can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (0-96 km/h, ed.).
