Worn asphalt now costs motorists DKK 2,000 in stalls

It's not the drivers' fault. But their behavior still costs a cut in the choir card if the police see it.

The asphalt on Jernbanevej in Nykobing Mors is so worn that it causes drivers to break the traffic law. Many people simply complain about clutter because the traffic lights on the road are out of order.

The light regulation is not switched off as such, but motorists complain that it has been messed up for a very long time. Also longer than many have the patience for.

This is written by TV Midtvest .

The long time for rot is due to worn asphalt. Morso municipality, which is responsible for the road, informs the media that it is well aware of the problem.

The sensors for the light regulation are milled into the asphalt, which in some places is therefore far too worn. This means that some motorists experience up to 5 minutes of congestion.

Unfortunately, it is also not something that drivers in the municipality should expect to be lost to next Monday's rush hour traffic.

– The traffic lights in Nykobing are not working very well at the moment – and many are too messy – for far too long.

– It is something that we prioritize to get rid of. We are in dialogue with our suppliers, but unfortunately we do not have a concrete time horizon, says Morso Municipality's Facebook page.

It costs 2,000 kroner and a cut in the choir card to show up for corruption. In 2021, a survey showed that many Danish drivers actually 'take it for granted'. Read more about it here .
