How to give your car a long and happy life

Keeping your car clean and well-groomed is not just an aesthetic decision – it's an investment in the life of your car! Regular cleaning and maintenance can make a world of difference when it comes to extending the life of your car.

We want to help you give your car the care it deserves. That's why here's a quick guide on how you can ensure your car gets the best possible care.

Pre-wash the car
Pre-washing is undoubtedly the most important step in cleaning your car. Do it carefully and correctly! By pre-washing you can remove several different types of dirt that are on the surface, e.g. pollutants, dust, loose dirt and even wax. Here we recommend a pre-washing agent such as King Carthur Control Snow Foam in collaboration with the Foam Lance from Dr Dirt. If you have extra stubborn dirt on the paintwork, you can spray Car5 Cold Degreaser on the paintwork before using the pre-washing agent.

Hand washing with wash mitt
When you are going to come into physical contact with the paint, it is important that you use the right tool so that you do not scratch or damage your beautiful paint. For example, use a wash mitt like King Carthur Premium Microfiber Wash Mitt, which absorbs the dirt so that it does not stick to the surface, as it would when using a sponge. When washing by hand, use car shampoo such as Gyeon Q²M Bathe+.

Remove fly rust and tar
Rust and tar can damage your car's paintwork in several ways, and it's important to remove it. Rust, which occurs when small particles of rust from the road stick to the paintwork, can cause permanent marks and lead to corrosion. You can easily remove rust with CAR5 Wheel Cleaner, which can be used on both the paintwork and the rims. Tar, which comes from the road and asphalt, leaves sticky spots that can damage the paintwork by attracting dirt and dust. This can result in discoloration and wear. This can be effectively removed with King Carthur NextGen Degreaser, which also removes other stubborn dirt.

Good maintenance and cleaning are the keys to extending the life of your car. By protecting it from damage, ensuring optimal performance and keeping it looking good, you give your car the best chance of many more years on the road and a higher resale value.

So grab the wash mitt and foam lance, and give your car the love it deserves!
