Automotive giant is looking for at least 100 new people per month

Japanese Toyota is going against the grain in the automotive industry due to the rush. It will hire 500 people at once and at least 100 temporary workers per month.

Toyota is planning a major recruitment drive in 2025. The company is looking for at least 500 permanent employees and 100 new temporary employees each month. This move is due to the need to increase production, especially of the Yaris Cross model.

At a time when the European automotive industry is facing challenges, Toyota is going against the grain. Its factory in Onnaing, France, is expected to significantly expand its workforce over the course of the year.

The Onnaing plant plays a key role in the economy of the Hauts-de-France region and is one of the most important car factories in France. In 2023, the plant produced 275,000 vehicles. The Yaris Cross, launched in 2021, accounts for 75 percent of total production.

This is reported by several French media .

Toyota expects to increase production to 300,000 cars annually. To achieve this goal, the company plans to hire 500 permanent employees and hire about 100 temporary workers each month.

This strategy is part of Toyota's efforts to strengthen its position in the European market, which is currently characterized by uncertainty.

With over 4,000 employees, the Onnaing factory is one of Toyota's eight factories in Europe.

Toyota's recruitment efforts demonstrate the company's confidence in the Yaris Cross model and its potential in the European market.

The expansion of the staff will help meet the increasing demand for the Yaris Cross.

Toyota expects that the increased production will have a positive impact on the Onnaing factory and the local economy.

The recruitment of a large number of new employees is a sign of Toyota's commitment to the French automotive industry.

This development contrasts with the general trend in the European automotive industry, where many companies are experiencing decline. But in fact, Toyota is not the only one looking hard for new people.

Aston Martin did the same last year, and Chinese BYD is so busy that it has hired over 200,000 new employees in just three months during 2024.
