The world's most expensive Lada has just 11 kilometers since 1992

The world's most expensive Lada has gone on sale in Russia. It has barely covered 11 kilometers since it rolled off the assembly line in 1992. It's a Samara. Of course.

The world's most expensive Lada has been put up for sale in Russia. A 1992 Lada Samara (2109) with just 11 kilometers on the clock is being offered for a staggering price.

Although the seller would prefer payment in almost worthless Russian rubles. The car has only been used to drive home from the factory where it was produced.

The Lada Samara was a modern car model when it appeared in the 1980s, especially compared to Lada's previous models. The engine was developed in collaboration with Porsche, and the bodywork was inspired by cars such as the Volkswagen Golf and Volvo 343.

Despite Porsche's involvement, the Samara model is not a fast car. It has a 1.3-liter engine with 63 horsepower and a top speed of 146 km/h.

The Lada Samara now for sale has been sitting in a garage in the Russian city of Togliatti, where Lada cars are produced, ever since it left the factory in 1992.

The car has only 11 kilometers, equivalent to the trip home from the factory, and has never been used on Russian roads. It still has the factory protective film on the seats, and even the wiper blades and rearview mirrors are not installed, as this is usually done at the dealer.

The owner has now decided to sell the car, which appears to be in good condition. The price is probably the highest ever paid for a Lada.

The car is for sale on a Russian website for eight million rubles, which corresponds to approximately 580,000 Danish kroner.

The Lada Samara was a popular car model in its time and was produced in various versions. However, this specific model is unique due to its low mileage and good condition.

It is unusual to find a Lada Samara in such good condition, especially one that has never been used on the road.

It is likely that the car will be sold to a collector who will appreciate its unique history and condition. Back at the AutoVAZ factory, which builds Lada's latest cars, people are suffering from the farewell to Renault.

The latest Lada Niva, for example, has to do without ABS brakes and much other safety equipment. The Russians call this kind of thing 'Sport'. Read more about it here .
