Lamborghini has been supplying cars to police for 20 years

The partnership between the Italian police and Lamborghini Automobile is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Most recently, the Sant'Agata brand delivered a Urus Performante.

Lamborghini has been supplying cars to the police in Italy for 20 years. Since the collaboration began in 2004 with the delivery of a Lamborghini Gallardo, the cars from the Sant'Agata factory have played a central role in police work.

The Italian police use the vehicles for patrolling and emergency medical transport. During the course of the collaboration, over 200 vital organ transports have been carried out around Italy.

An important part of the collaboration has also been the use of Lamborghini models at more than 1,500 events for and in support of road safety.

Vittorio Pisani, who is the Chief of Police and Director General of Public Security, is happy with the good relationship with Lamborghini.

– The twenty-year collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini supports the Italian police in important tasks, such as the transport of donor organs.

– A mission carried out in close collaboration with the National Transplant Center and is a symbol of our commitment to serving the population. The Lamborghinis, from the Gallardo to the latest Urus, allow us to use the latest technology to carry out these tasks quickly and safely.”

The special cars that Lamborghini supplies to the police are adapted to the needs of law enforcement. For example, the cars are equipped with cooling systems for organs and advanced communication technology. But without the extra lights.

Through the collaboration, Lamborghini has delivered everything from the Gallardo and its successor, the Huracán, to the Urus for the police. An airport in Italy has even connected to Lamborghini. Read more about it here .

In addition to their transport duties, the cars serve as a visual reminder that Italian drivers must obey traffic laws. And in any case, not try to run away.
