Tesla stops building cars in Berlin

From today and two weeks from now, cars will not be built at Tesla's factory in Germany. The brand is simply missing parts.

It has been promoted earlier this month. But only now is Tesla doing something about it. Parts are simply missing at the brand's factory on the outskirts of Berlin.

Therefore, the brand is now suspending production for the next two weeks. This is stated by the car brand according to the German news agency dpa .

Tesla refers to the situation in the Red Sea, which makes it difficult in general to ship things across the sea. Several experts also point out that the security situation in the Red Sea is serious.

From Yemen, a rebel movement is attacking cargo ships with missiles, among other things, which are believed to be supporting Israel in the war against the terrorist group Hamas.

– Due to missing components, we are forced to suspend car production in our Berlin-Brandenburg gigafactory from January 29 to February 11, says Tesla.

It is still unclear which parts Tesla is missing. But the American car brand is not the only one that is now stepping on the brakes.

The announcement from Tesla came already earlier this month. And just the following week, another car brand announced that it would pause production for three days.

Here, too, the situation in the Red Sea was blamed. Specifically, it was the lack of gearboxes that stopped the assembly lines. Read more here.
