Kevin Magnussen is called the first choice of the new Formula 1 team

On paper, Kevin Magnussen has no seat in Formula 1 anymore. Nevertheless, several media now write that the Dane can make a comeback again.

Kevin Magnussen has said goodbye to Formula 1. But it may not be as permanent as it seems. At least not according to several international media.

After several long negotiations, both the international motorsport organ station and the owners of Formula 1, Liberty Media, have agreed that Cadillac can become the 11th team on the grid.

And here K-Mag can make another wild comeback. In any case, a media such as The Race writes that the Dane will be the obvious choice as the team's experienced choir.

In fact, the media believe that Kevin Magnussen is the obvious first choice. Even if the career may not have gone as the now former Haas choir had hoped after 10 years.

– He has not had a reputation for always being a really development-oriented chorister. But he is fast and has been around long enough to be a valuable asset (for the team, ed.)

– But there is a chance that he would only accept a 2026 deal if a guarantee for a seat the following year comes with it. And if that is the case, the team would be wise to investigate other options first, writesThe Race .

GPBlog also calls Magnussen an obvious choice when Cadillac is looking for its first choir in motorsport's finest class.

It is therefore still uncertain whether K-Mag is completely done with Formula 1. At least on the track. Something that is completely fixed, however, is the Dane's contract with BMW. It means that K-Mag must e.g. Le Mans in the Germans' hypercar, the M Hybrid V8.

It is also rumored that Haas is very close to securing Magnussen's expertise in other areas, right down to the racing car. Read more about it here .
