The Jeep Avenger is reduced by DKK 110,000 in Denmark

The Danish importer KW Bruun is now significantly lowering the price of the Jeep Avenger, which in Denmark drops by up to DKK 110,000.

In Denmark, Jeep has sold 52 copies of the Avenger model between January 1 and October 31 this year. And there are indications that it is far from enough. For now, the importer lowers the price by DKK 110,000.

The price drop of DKK 110,000 takes place on the most expensive model. While the cheapest model drops from DKK 280,000, it now costs under DKK 200,000.

Jeep Avenger won the award as "Car of the year" last year. But it has not been enough to really persuade the Danes.

Jeep has also had a hard time of late. Back home in the US, the brand fired its director Christian Meunier in October 2023. On the way out, Meunier was told that 'he was simply too bad'.

Blue. because Jeep under Meunier lost 13 percent of the brand's already declining market share. The new man in charge, Antonio Filosa, has no doubt that he is at the head of a car brand that is 'undeservedly bad'.

However, it was also him who, in February this year, completely scrapped Jeep's goal of only building electric cars. Instead, it is now stated that 'the model program must be driven by customer demand, not laws and regulations'.

The new Jeep director thus leans on Toyota's position on electric cars and the market in general. The Japanese, who do not believe that the type of car will ever occupy more than 30 percent of the market, reject the idea of building only electric cars.

– The customers – neither rules nor politics – must make that decision (in relation to the fuel, ed.), Toyota's board chairman Akio Toyoda left in January this year.
