The analysis agency EPSI has carried out the latest edition of an annual satisfaction survey among electric car owners. It points to one thing – growing dissatisfaction.
The latest edition of EPSI Norway's annual measurement of the satisfaction of electric car owners reveals increasing dissatisfaction. Over 1,200 electric motorists participated in the survey, which focused on their experiences with charging stations.
The results paint a clear picture: Electric car owners' satisfaction with the charging experience has decreased since 2022.
– It's just that it's probably a natural consequence of the fact that we've had many more electric drivers during the period.
– It is no longer only first movers who drive around in these cars, says editor-in-chief Vegard Moller Johnsen at TV2 Broom , who also brings the story.
Despite a significant increase in the number of charging points and improved charging options, electric car owners still experience challenges.

Fredrik Host, general manager of EPSI Norway, emphasizes the importance of reliable operation when it comes to the publicly available country stands.
– For the charging operators, recurring operational problems mean that their reputations suffer serious damage. And that trust in them seeps out among motorists.
– Too many negative experiences can lead to customers actively avoiding operators they perceive as unreliable.
The payment process at the charging stations is another source of frustration among people in electric cars. One in five thinks the payment solutions are far too complicated.
However, the requirement that new charging stations support contactless payment gives hope for improvements.
Tesla, which performed well in last year's survey, is also experiencing a drop in customer satisfaction.
– Confidence in Tesla as a brand has suffered in the past year. Customers rate Tesla far worse when it comes to taking its social responsibility seriously, says business developer at EPSI, Sindre Brochmann.
However, it is not only people in electric cars who are less than happy with their cars. Earlier this year, Boosted compiled a list of the most dissatisfied car owners. Read more about it here .
