Several Tesla Cybertrucks have already ended up as scrap

Several Tesla Cybertrucks have already ended up as scrap. But there is a reason for that, and despite protests, the fate of the cars is decided.

Tesla has apparently sent a number of Cybertruck prototypes for scrapping. Scrap in other words.

Images of the many Cybertrucks in several rows have been widely shared on social media in recent days. Blue. on "X" owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

That's what Autoevolution writes.

The prototypes are less than a year old and were used for off-road tests of the Cybertruck at the end of 2023. But now there is no more use for them

The news about the soon-to-be scrapped Cybertrucks has created quite a few reactions among fans of the model. Several are upset that the cars will not be allowed to live longer.

– I remember how we celebrated every time we saw a Cybetruck on the road. A good memory. A sad ending. One day songs will be made about that car, says one comment.

– In any case, I hope that one of the prototypes is with Tesla itself, writes another.

But although many apparently think it is sad that the prototypes go to 'waste', it is quite normal practice in the car industry. Neither Tesla nor any other car manufacturer can legally let the cars live on.

For example, Boosted has been able to tell about how the last ever Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution also turned into a metal card. Read more about it here , if the car heart can take it.

Other times it has happened that prototypes have 'cheated' death. For example, one of the three Lexus models that Bose – yes, those are the ones with the speakers – spent billions of kroner developing a chassis for. That car recently appeared on the Facebook Market Place. Almost clockwise was in scrap.

In a third of cases, the cars do not reach the roads at all, because it is far, far too late. This was, for example, the case with a sea of brand new BMW E34 5 Series that appeared in a Bulgarian warehouse. Read all three stories in Boosted's 'barn find category'.
