From 1 January 2025, future drivers must comply with even more rules when trying to get a driver's license. This time it is about the language during the choir rehearsal itself.
On 1 January 2025, new choir card rules will come into force in Denmark. The new rules mean new opportunities for the language during the choir rehearsal itself.
This is stated by the Swedish Transport Agency in a press release .
The new rules apply to both the theoretical and practical choir exams and will apply to all choir card categories, regardless of how far along the individual student is in the choir card process.
Choir tests can be taken in the following languages from 1 January 2025:
- Danish
- English
- Faroese
- Greenlandic
- German (for people living in the municipalities of Haderslev, Tonder, Aabenraa and Sonderborg)
With these changes, it will no longer be possible to use an interpreter for either theoretical or practical choir tests from 1 January 2025.
The new rules, and the fact that it will soon not be possible to bring an interpreter to either theory or choir rehearsals, also apply to those who are already in the process of taking their choir card.
Choir school students who pass the theory test with an interpreter before the turn of the year will not be able to get interpreter assistance for the choir test if it is after 31 December 2024 for the same reason.
The new choir card rules are not the only things that have changed in the choir card area this year. In July, for example, it became possible to take a very special choir rehearsal in a car with automatic transmission. Read more about it here .
