Danish charging company enters into major agreement with Tesla

The car brand Tesla and the Danish software company Monta have entered into a major agreement which, according to the Danish company's founder, will benefit people in electric company cars.

The car brand Tesla and the Danish software company Monta have entered into an agreement.

The agreement means that companies can reimburse employees who charge electric cars from home using Tesla's Home Wall Connector.

According to the Danish company, the solution was created to support 'the transition to electric cars not only among Danes, but among companies in Europe'.

After a long collaboration between Monta and Tesla, companies can now use Monta's charging platform to manage home charging of company cars.

This appears from a press release .

According to figures that Monta refers to, the number of electric cars in Europe increased by 50 percent in the years 2020 to 2023. There are currently 14.8 million electric cars on European roads.

But sales in 2024 have been characterized by several dips. Especially in the biggest market in all of Europe – namely Germany – where the government subsidy for electric cars disappeared instantly in December 2023.

– 6 out of 10 new cars are company cars in Europe, companies need a solution that makes it easy to charge employees from home.

– That is why we are happy to integrate with Tesla's Wall Connector, which is one of the most popular models on the market, says Casper Rasmussen, managing director and co-founder of Monta.

However, sales of electric company cars still lag behind the private market. According to a report from 2024, battery-powered electric cars made up 14.1 percent of company car sales last year. While 15.6 percent of private drivers got behind the wheel of an electric car.

– Company cars account for 74 percent of the emissions from new corral vehicles. Which makes them a decisive area for reducing CO2, says Casper Rasmussen
